S.Pellegrino and Food for Soul, the non-profit organisation founded by Massimo Bottura and Lara Gilmore, have announced an exciting new global partnership in a bid to tackle waste and promote a sustainable culture for all.

The focus of the new partnership, which launches today, will centre on the power of to transform the lives of people for the better, creating value equity and cultural change, and will include plenty of learning and sharing opportunities for both the professional and foodie communities.

“Our joint efforts are aimed at building a more sustainable future for people and
the planet, responding to some of the most pressing global challenges of our time by improving systems, fostering human connections, and sharing knowledge,” said Stefano Marini, S.Pellegrino Group CEO.

By educating and encouraging communities to reduce food waste, and adopt healthy consumption behaviours that foster social inclusion and individual wellbeing, together, the two organisations will lead the way in demonstrating how everyone can play a role in creating a more sustainable future.

In a statement, Food For said: “We embrace opportunities that bring people together to share and learn, and push to amplify those that have an immediate positive impact on planetary and human health while laying the foundation for future generations to live well. This exciting development with S.Pellegrino will help scale Food for Soul’s social and environmental impact, educating young culinary professionals on sustainable through culture and community.”

The international project will include a number of hands-on initiatives that will see chef Massimo Bottura inspire home cooks, foodies and young chefs with ideas, discussions and techniques, ready to put into action.

Young professional chefs at the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy will also benefit from first-hand advice from Bottura and his team, as well as the opportunity to become part of Food for Soul’s chef network with the chance to intern or take up volunteer roles within Refettorio projects, as well as the chance to mentor new ambassadors.

Most importantly, the project will show everyone how they can play a role in creating a more sustainable future together. “A more sustainable future is not built by one but through the collective action of many,” said Bottura.
